Bangkok, Thailand | 12 June 2026 — The India–Thailand Business Conclave 2026, organized by the Global Vision Trade Organization (GVTO) at ProPak Asia 2026 by Informa Markets and powered by People’s Reflections, became an important platform for advancing India–Thailand cooperation in packaging, education, technology and international trade.
During the Conclave, Mr. Shekhar Amberkar, Director of the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), promoted the upcoming Bharat Packaging Expo 2027 and invited international businesses, packaging professionals, manufacturers, academic institutions and technology providers to participate in the event.
The Indian Institute of Packaging is an apex body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Through its participation in the Conclave, IIP presented India’s growing capabilities in packaging education, research, innovation, sustainability and industry development to an international audience.
Promoting Bharat Packaging Expo 2027 Globally
The promotion of Bharat Packaging Expo 2027 at the India–Thailand Business Conclave was an important step towards increasing the event’s international visibility and participation.
Mr. Amberkar highlighted the Expo as a platform for bringing together packaging manufacturers, machinery companies, material suppliers, technology providers, educational institutions, researchers, start-ups and government representatives.
The Expo is expected to support knowledge sharing and showcase developments in areas such as:
- Sustainable and environmentally responsible packaging
- Advanced packaging machinery and automation
- Food, pharmaceutical and consumer-product packaging
- Innovative packaging materials and technologies
- Packaging design, testing, research and education
- International trade and technology-transfer opportunities
Through GVTO’s global network, information about Bharat Packaging Expo 2027 was shared with representatives and potential collaborators from Thailand and other international markets.
GVTO Transforms Its MoU with IIP into Implementation
The strategic MoU signed between GVTO and the Indian Institute of Packaging was designed to create practical opportunities beyond formal institutional cooperation.
GVTO is now turning the objectives of this MoU into implementation by facilitating international knowledge-exchange programmes, student and faculty exchanges, academic collaborations, industry visits, trade-show delegations and institutional partnerships.
As part of this initiative, representatives from six academic institutions and universities across Thailand and India participated in discussions and engagement activities. Their involvement opened new possibilities for collaborative training, research, student mobility, internships, curriculum development and industry-oriented educational programmes.
The initiative also aims to connect packaging education with real industry requirements, enabling students and professionals to understand new technologies, sustainability standards and international market expectations.
International Exposure Through ProPak Asia 2026
GVTO also supported the planning and coordination of an Indian delegation to ProPak Asia 2026 in Bangkok, one of Asia’s leading processing and packaging exhibitions.
The visit provided delegates with opportunities to explore machinery, automation, food-processing systems, packaging materials, sustainable solutions and other emerging technologies. It also enabled direct interaction with international exhibitors, industry leaders, educational institutions and potential business partners.
Dr. Akshay Shinde, Founder and Chairman of GVTO, participated in the international programme alongside Mr. Shekhar Amberkar, strengthening coordination between GVTO, IIP and participating stakeholders.
